Jesus relied entirely on the spoken word and as far as we know he wrote nothing down. But his followers over the centuries have produced a vast store of literature exploring the Christian message which he proclaimed. This anthology of extracts gives an overview of the whole sweep of Christian writing over the last 2,000 years, and it is hoped that readers will be stimulated to turn to the original works in their entirety.
